Your first interview can be a nerve-wracking experience if you don’t know what to expect.   You want to walk into your first interview with confidence, and Launch can get you there.   When to show up, what you wear, what to bring, how you present yourself, how you shake hands, what you say, how you say it:  basically, every single second of your interview counts.

Don’t waste your time, or theirs, by being unprepared.

The employer is looking for clear indicators of your competence. You need to show fundamental job skills and motivation. To stand out as the best applicant, you have to show superior skills and make the best presentation.

At Launch, we believe there are the absolute essential skills you must demonstrate in an entry-level job interview:

  • Communications: How you express yourself is important. Make sure to set out your answers clearly, in a logical sequence.
  • Job skills: You must show that you meet all essential job criteria. Support that information with your qualifications and other examples.
  • Job values: These are the quality controls used to measure the relative merits of job applicants. You need to show you can do a job well. Use examples of your own skills to prove you can offer a higher quality of work.

“I just finished my mock-interview, and it was a great experience. He is very nice and gave me some great advice. Thank you so much for introducing me and helping me with my interview skills. Before I met you, I could never have imagined feeling confident about my interview skills. It was also very helpful to see myself on the videos that you sent me.  It also felt a little weird seeing myself talking!”
